This online test seminar helps you refine your investigation idea, find collaborators and boost your chances of getting funding. Run by Arena for Journalism in Europe, this Cross-Border Masterclass takes place several weeks before the next deadline for applications for IJ4EU funding, giving you enough time to prepare a killer proposal. In this half-day seminar, we will walk through the particularities of the cross-border, collaborative investigation process with a focus on selecting a topic and angle, finding your team and preparing a work plan. The overall purpose of the work plan is to get ready for your investigation – including an application for a work grant. The online masterclass is free to attend. Registration is open until 24 hours before the seminar. The seminar will be run by Hazel Sheffield, Networks Coordinator at Arena for Journalism in Europe, and Trine Smistrup, deputy director of Arena and of the annual Dataharvest – The European Investigative Journalism Conference.
