Cross-Border Masterclass (February 11th, 2025, 13:00 - 15:30 CET)

This online seminar is intended to help you refine your investigation idea, find collaborators and boost your chances of getting funding. Run by Arena for Journalism in Europe, this Cross-Border Masterclass takes place several weeks before the next deadline for applications for IJ4EU funding, giving you enough time to prepare a killer proposal. In this half-day seminar, we will walk through the particularities of the cross-border, collaborative investigation process with a focus on selecting a topic and angle, finding your team and preparing a work plan. The overall purpose of the work plan is to get ready for your investigation – including an application for a work grant. Attendance is free. Registration is open until 24 hours before the seminar. The seminar will be run by Hazel Sheffield, Networks Coordinator at Arena for Journalism in Europe, and Jonathan Stoneman, Co-Ordinator of Arena Academy and of the Data Journalism track of the annual Dataharvest – The European Investigative Journalism Conference.
